MTS is stand for MPEG Transport Stream Video file format. It is high definition file format and used with Sony/Panasonic camcorder. It is commonly used as AVCHD (Advance Video Codec High Definition) file. The resolution of mts file is 1440 x 1080 pixels as native. The mts files support 720 pixel video also.
Mts file runs only with some devices like Sony/Panasonic camcorder, HD TV, Blue Ray Player and Sony Play Station 3. If you try to open this file on the computer then you may get an error.
