Sony and Panasonic designed and developed the MTS file for storing their video file. Normally Sony and Panasonic camcorder stores their video file in mts file format. This file is not a normal file format because it contains Advance Video Codec High Definition (AVCHD) Video files. MTS format video cannot be played directly on any other media except Sony/Panasonic camcorder, HDTV, Blue-ray Disc player and Sony Play Station 3.
MTS File can be corrupt or damaged by several reasons. Accidently deletion or formatting the memory device, software failure, file system corruption, Virus attack and unlawful use of memory card; are the big reason of MTS file loss. But tools are available which can recover the lost MTS FILE.
